Deleting your data
Last updated 30 August 2026.
You can remove your data from Megapost yourself, at any time, without asking us. This page explains how, and what each option actually does.
Disconnect a social account
Go to Accounts and disconnect the account. This deletes the access tokens we hold for it, and Megapost can no longer read or post to it.
You can do the same from the platform's own settings — removing Megapost from your Facebook, LinkedIn or other account revokes our access immediately. For Facebook specifically, that is under Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.
Delete posts and media
Deleting a post moves it to your archive, where it can be restored. Deleting it permanently from the archive erases it and its record of where it went. Media you have uploaded can be removed with the post or from the composer.
One thing worth being clear about: removing a post from Megapost is not the same as removing it from a platform it was already published to. Where a platform allows it, Megapost can ask for the published copy to be deleted too, and tells you whether that actually succeeded. A copy we could not remove stays live until you delete it on the platform itself.
Delete your account
Email support@runloop.digital from the address your account uses, asking us to delete it. We remove your account, your posts and their history, your uploaded media, and every social account connection and stored token.
We will confirm when it is done. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle, so a copy may persist there briefly after deletion.
Requesting a copy first
If you want your data before it goes, ask at the same address and we will send you what we hold. See the privacy policy for the full list of what that is.
